TAAHA
TAAHA is a collaborative design project between my
partner and me with an aim to explore concepts through collectible design objects and fashion. Each collection is based on a central theme which manifests into a single artwork, this artwork is then manipulated across the objects that relate to the central theme. Our debut collection explores themes of intimacy, moments of escape and exuberance, and features hand made rugs, porcelain vases, hand made robes and jewellery.
As the co-founder, I conceptualised the objects, and designed and manufactured them with local makers and craftspeople. Every collection is small run and very limited which is communicated in our touchpoints and social content. We are currently building this brand and our daily activities include art directing and planning photoshoots, developing social content, collaborating with makers, running digital campaigns and working with galleries to plan exhibitions.
